Tamil movie Subramaniapuram is `Ananthapuram- 1980’ in Telugu

Subramaniapuram was planned to be remade in Telugu. But the production house dropped the idea since they had the doubt whether it was possible to bring the back drop of 80s like in the original version. So now Subramaniapuram is being dubbed in Telugu with the tile `Ananthapuram- 1980’. Jai, Sasi Kumar, Ganja Karuppu, Swathi, Samudhirakani and many others are in the cast.
Though it’s not a typical faction film but the ambience resemble faction-ridden Anantapur district. M Ranganath is producing the film under Simhapuri Talkies banner. Sashank Vennelakanti has penned the dialogues.Vennelakanti has penned the lyrics. James Vasantha has scored the music.
